Step-by-Step: From Planning to Check-Out
1) Yacht selection & charter planning (optional)
If you haven’t booked a yacht yet, I can help you choose the right sailing yacht and charter base based on your group size, experience level, route expectations and budget.
This helps avoid common charter surprises and sets realistic expectations for the week.
2) Dates, base & crew details
Once we confirm dates and the charter base, we align expectations: crew experience, preferred sailing style (active sailing vs relaxed cruising), daily rhythm and must-see places.
3) Check-in day and yacht handover
On check-in day we go through the yacht handover, technical briefing and inventory. I help ensure the process is clear and smooth, and that everyone on board understands basic safety and onboard routines.
4) Sailing, routing and daily decisions
During the charter week I take care of navigation, weather-aware route planning, marina manoeuvres, anchoring and safe yacht handling under sail and engine.
Each day is adapted to weather conditions, crew preferences and the charter schedule.
5) Optional: skipper and hostess
If you want fully supported onboard experience, a skipper and hostess option can be arranged upon request.
6) check-out and end of charter week
On check-out we follow the charter company procedure and return the yacht in good order. Clear communication and proper handling help ensure a smooth end to the week.
